Today, we decided to have lunch at Beirut Bite, a new Lebanese restaurant in Worcester that has taken the place of Meze, which has moved a few buildings down Shrewsbury Street. Much simpler decor now with pictures of Beirut, Lebanon.
we got the Turkish Coffee,
the Hot Chocolate, the Chicken Shawarma Platter (Baked marinated chicken, garlic sauce, lettuce, French Fries and pita bread),the Sujuk (pan fried spicy sausage, hummus, tomatoes and pickles, all wrapped in pita bread),
and the Nammoora for dessert.
The coffee was way too bitter for me, even with sugar added, although the other drink was okay by me. The wrap was pretty flavorful, although the spice got to me after a while, and I had to drink all the hot chocolate to try to cool off. The chicken was a little dry, but the garlic sauce made it taste heavenly, together with the pickles in a wrap. The dessert was made of coconut but went really well with the rose syrup it was soaked in. Overall, a really good meal, for pretty cheap too. After lunch, we headed to Hills Farm Pond on Stoney Hill Road in Shrewsbury,
where we stumbled upon the Secret Garden here, which was really interesting to say the least.
Definitely a much better experience than the last time I was here in the rain.
