July 13th 2024: Sen Yai Thai Noodle, Boston

 Today, we decided to have lunch at Sen Yai Thai Noodle, a Thai restaurant at 563 Washington Street in the Brighton area of Boston.

We got the Leng-zapp (Spicy and sour pork bones stew with Thai chili-herb sauce),

and the Thai fish maw soup (Chicken , fish maw , bamboo , quail eggs , vermicelli noodle , cilantro).

Really good I must say, with the tender meat in the tom yum like soup, and the fish maw reminded me of food back home.

July 10th 2024: Wanokura, Milford

 Today, while in Milford, we decided to have dinner at Wanokura, a Japanese restaurant in town.

We got the Miso Soup (Soybean soup with tofu and seaweed),

the Tempura Udon (Thick udon noodles served in a light broth with tempura),

which came with a Small Green Salad (small-sized salad with house ginger dressing),

and the Crazy Maki (Shrimp tempura, avocado, cucumber & fish roe).

Really small portions, and nothing special, not to mention the long wait. Definitely not coming back before.

July 7th 2024: Takeout in Westborough

 Today, we got takeout from 3 restaurants in Westborough, firstly Westboro House of Pizza and Bar,

getting the Cheese Pizza

and the Parmesan Garlic Traditional House Wings.

Next, it was Spinach Linguini (with chicken, spinach, sun-dried tomato, in lemon wine sauce) from Ziti's Italian Trattoria.

Not bad if not for the dry chicken meat.

Finally, the Smoky BLT Quarter Pounder with Cheese from McDonald's.

Not bad, but I'm looking for new things to eat from this place. 

Not too bad for a day of takeout from Westborough

July 6th 2024: Sharon Korean Restaurant, Boston

 Today, after checking out the splash pad at the YMCA in Westborough,

we decided to check out Sharon Korean Kitchen, a Korean restaurant at 1727 Centre Street in the West Roxbury area of Boston.

We got the Steamed Beef Dumplings (Eight succulent dumplings, filled with premium beef and fresh veggies, served with a savory dipping sauce. )

the Spicy Pork Bibimbap (steamed white rice crowned with an array of fresh, steamed  vegetables including carrot, radish, squash, bean sprout, and spinach. Topped with a perfectly fried egg and your choice of protein, it's a symphony of wholesome flavors. Served with hot chili paste on the side)

and the Beef Short Rib Soup (Galbitang, a clear and nourishing soup made with premium beef short ribs.)

Pretty good, especially the soup.

July 5th 2024: Killing Time in Northbridge and Upton

 Today, while having some time to kill, I headed through Northbridge

Riverdale Pond, 50 Riverdale Street

to bring my little one to the playground

 at the Upton Community Center,

where the new Upton Public Library is also located.

For lunch, we decided to stop by Chengdu in Westborough, this time getting the Hot and Sour Soup,

the Stir Fried Vegs and Tofu (Vegetable Roll, Brown Rice)

the Taiwan Style Fried Rice Noodle

and the Chung King Chili Chicken.

Absolutely horrendous food, except the chicken, although it wasn't anything authentic either. Definitely not coming back again.

July 4th 2024: Finding Things to Do on July 4th

 Today, we started out in Bolton,

West Pond, 27 Long Hill Road

then visited the Mary Rowlandson Elementary School in Lancaster for its playgrounds,

before checking out the Crumbl Cookies location in Hudson,

getting the Milk Chocolate Chip.

Not a bad end to a day where pretty much everything is closed.
