July 19th 2023: Coffee in Shrewsbury, Seafood in Worcester

 After getting a Ham and Swiss Croissant

and a Oleato Golden Foam Cold Brew

from the Starbucks in Shrewsbury,

we went for a puppet show at the Shrewsbury Public Library,

before settling for dinner at The Sole Proprietor in Worcester, getting the Crab and Corn Chowder,

the STEAMED MAINE CLAMS (1 pound with butter and broth),

and the HIGHLAND STREET ROLL (Shrimp, avocado, and cucumber, topped with salmon tartare, masago, eel and wasabi sauces.).

The soup tasted a little weir due to the corn, while the clams had way too much shell bits, but overall, still not too bad a meal from this place.

July 16th 2023: Raising Cane's, Marlborough

 Today, after an afternoon of fun at the Apex Entertainment Center in Marlborough,

  

we decided to grab a bite at the new Raising Cane's location across the road, 

getting the The Caniac Combo (6 Chicken Fingers, Crinkle-Cut Fries, 2 Cane’s Sauces, Texas Toast, Coleslaw, 32oz Fountain Drink / Tea).

Pretty good I must say, with light crispy batter.

July 15th 2023: A Day of Water Fun at Artesani Playground, Boston

 We started out this morning with brunch at the Wild Hare in Hudson, which we visited once before, this time getting the STRAWBERRY PARFAIT  (h o n e y y o g u r t , g r e e n s t r a w b e r r y c o u l i s , f r e s h s t r a w b e r r i e s , m a p l e o a t g r a n o l a),

the CAPPUCCINO (double shot / milk / foam),

and the  BENEDICT IN A HOLE  (s l o w p o a c h e d e g g , h e r b h o l l a n d a i s e , b a c o n l a r d o n s &frisee on house brioche + add on - roasted mushrooms)

Excellent meal as always from this place.

From here, we went to the Dick's Sporting Goods in Natick to get some ice skates for my little one, 

then on to the Brighton area of Boston,

getting lunch at MDM Noodles, a Chinese restaurant in town,

where we got the Guilin Rice Noodle

and the Spicy Boiled Lamb Hand Pulled Noodles.

Pretty good flavor in both dishes I must say.

From here, it was on to the Artesani Playground at Christian Herter Park nearby for the rest of the day, where my little one had lots of fun splashing around, although everyone was chased out of the pool when someone puked.

After a day a water fun, we ended it with some dessert at Far Out Ice Cream in Brookline, where they serve New Zealand style ice cream.

We got the KOOKABERRY (CHOICE OF BASE, STRAWBERRY, BLUEBERRY, RASPBERRY)

and the NZ COLADA (VANILLA ICE CREAM, MANGO, PINEAPPLE, TOASTED COCONUT FLAKES).

Pretty good flavors, with mini fruit bits in them. Different sort of ice cream for sure.

July 13th 2023: Ava Marie Chocolates and Sweet! Macaron, Peterborough NH

Today, my other half got a box of chocolates from Ava Marie Chocolates ,

and macarons from Sweet! Macaron in Peterborough NH.

Pretty good in my opinion.

July 12th 2023: Kimochi Boba Cafe, Worcester

 Today, while walking along Shrewsbury Street in Worcester, I happened upon the new Kimochi Boba Cafe at 315 Shrewsbury Street, which has other branches in Rhode Island. Pretty nice inside.

I got the Matcha Milk Tea,

which was not bad in my opinion. Hope they do well, despite the obscure location on the second floor.

July 9th 2023: Bolton Spring Farm, Bolton

 Today, we passed through Berlin
