We had lunch today at Paani Pure Indian Cuisine, a small but decent looking Indian restaurant in the town of Sudbury.
They do not have lunch buffet, but they did have a Thali Lunch which we got, consisting of Chicken Tikka Masala (tender boneless chicken pieces barbecued in tandoor clay oven, then delicately blended in tangy cream sauce and freshly ground masala), Lamb Curry (cubes of tender lamb cooked in an authentic style of red tomato and onion sauce, then slightly enhanced with a touch of fresh garlic, herbs and ground spices in a curry sauce), basmati rice, naan (plain naan bread), and vegetable pakora)
and a Mango Lassi (Yogurt Drink, A traditional chilled beverage made with yogurt and an assortment of flavorings, Sweet Lassi infused with mango pulp and rosewater).
Not bad, with interesting starters as well.
For dinner, we headed to Rail Stop Restaurant, a pretty upscale restaurant in the Brighton area of Boston.
With my coupon, we got several dishes: Bacon Wrapped Scallops,
Fried Oysters,
Steamed Clams (stone ground mustard and herbs),
COUNTRY STYLE PORK PATE (Mustard house-made pickles, grilled rustic wheat),
Fire grilled pizza (Wild mushroom, arugula pesto, parmesan)
and the Creme Brulee for dessert.
Excellent dining experience, especially the flavorfulness of the pizza and the orange flavored dessert, complete with a sugar cookie on the side.
Definitely a good day of eating out.
This blog is to serve as a record of my quest to visit every single town/city in Massachusetts and determine what are the great places to see/restaurants to eat at. Feel free to give me feedback on places that I might have missed out on, especially the great restaurants since I can only eat 3 times a day.
