While in the area today, we decided to check out Aunty G's Ice Cream and Indian Fusion, a quaint Indian restaurant in Marlborough, getting the Gol Gappe (crispy round shells stuffed with chickpeas, potatoes and tamarind chutney, served with cucumber and mint spiced water),
the Thandai (sweet creamy milk drink flavored with nuts and mixed with spices),
the Chicken Chaat (sliced chicken, marinated in home made masala, mixed with tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, bell peppers, pineapples and fresh greens, dressed with tamarind and coriander chutney, garnished with mandarin orange and tortilla chips),
and the Mango Ice Cream for dessert.
As there were only an elderly couple running the place, service was slow, although the food was pretty well presented and tasty in terms of flavor. The only disappointment was the ice cream, which seemed old and had chunks of ice in it. Overall, this place is worth a try, but maybe just once.
This blog is to serve as a record of my quest to visit every single town/city in Massachusetts and determine what are the great places to see/restaurants to eat at. Feel free to give me feedback on places that I might have missed out on, especially the great restaurants since I can only eat 3 times a day.
