After visiting the Waltham Public Library this morning,
We went to Cook, a pretty upbeat brunch place in Newton for some food,
Getting the Moroccan Mint Tea (Green),
The Shakshouka (baked eggs, spicy tomato, tzatziki, muhammara, cucumber olive relish, mini pitas),
The Lobster Slider (mayo, lemon, tarragon)
And the Crispy Shrimp Taco (avocado, red onion, aji crema).
Except for the tea, which was just alright, everything else was just fantastic, the Mediterranean flavors in the Egg dish, the crispness of the lobster bun and the onions perfecting the flavor of the taco. Glad we chose this place for brunch.
Next, after a day shopping at the Chestnut Hill Mall in town,
we decided to get some ice cream from Morano Gelato,
getting the Nocciola (Hazelnut) and Strawberry flavors.
Both were really tasty, being made with actual ingredients. Definitely worth coming back to try other flavors.
This blog is to serve as a record of my quest to visit every single town/city in Massachusetts and determine what are the great places to see/restaurants to eat at. Feel free to give me feedback on places that I might have missed out on, especially the great restaurants since I can only eat 3 times a day.
