Today, I had a meetup dinner to go to at the
Cambridge Brewing Company in Cambridge. Before that, I decided to use my deal at
Basha Cafe, a new Ethiopian place in the Alewife area of town. On the waitress's recommendation, I went with the Kitfo (fresh, lean Minced beef seasoned with Mitmita (very hot Chili powder) And Herbed butter),
Which was actually pretty good, although the injera bread was sour as always.
The Baklava was a little on the soggy side, but not bad either.
Overall, I still prefer
Addis Red Sea better.
At the meetup, we shared the
Fried Brussels Sprouts (Curry Mayo)
and the
Tater Tot Poutine (North Country Smokehouse Bacon, Roast Chicken Gravy, Shy Brothers Cheese Curds) for appetizers.
Okay, but not amazing, especially the tots, which really wasn't much of a poutine with very little gravy, and the sauce for the sprouts not being of much taste.
My Amber Braised Lamb Shank (Curry Parsnip Puree, Braised Rainbow Chard & Pickled Stems), though good in presentation,
was very much on the dry side. Not a very good experience, especially because we had trouble footing the bill at the end of the meal as well because some people did not pay enough.
