December 28th 2014: Exploring Lawrence

I started out late today with a heavy heart, heading north to Lowell,
Jonathan Bowers House
where I decided to get food from Ranch Tipico,  a South American place serving cafeteria style food.

Nothing great, and my mood did not help the situation much.

After lunch, I headed into the city of Lawrence to check out the Lawrence Heritage State Park. Pictures I took here follow.
I then spent the rest of the day exploring Lawrence,

and when it finally got too dark, I headed to Salem for dinner at Cilantro, a Mexican restaurant in town.

I got the Ceviche (raw Seafood medley Marinated in lime juice),

The Sopa de Crijol (Classic cream of black beans Garnished with sliced bacon, sour cream and Queso fresco),

and the Camarones Rellenos (Jumbo shrimp stuffed with chihuahua cheese,  wrapped in bacon, served with Rice and salad).

The Ceviche wasn't too bad,  although a little too much to finish. The soup was interesting,  though a little on the bland side, but the Shrimp were the worst of all. There were only 4 mealy pieces,  and they weren't anything special. To think it cost so much as well.

For dessert, I went with the Flan, which was pretty good,  thankfully.

Overall, definitely not coming back here again,  especially considering there were hardly any people here tonight.
