Today, my friend was not working as well, so we decided to head to the city of Salem, where I had a few groupons to use. Not knowing where to go at first, we passed by
Collins Cove Beach, where there wasn't much people on a Monday morning.
From here, we decided to visit the
Salem Witch Museum. I had thought that this was the best witch museum in Salem, but it turned out to be
just as bad as all the rest, with not much to show and the same story of the witch trials.

From here, we headed to the Derby Wharf area where we were to have lunch at the restaurant
In a Pig's Eye, where I was pleasantly surprised to see that the historic ship
Friendship of Salem was back in town, as it was out for repairs the last time I came to Salem

At the restaurant, which was more of a bar, I had a $30 Livingsocial deal to spend, so we got the Nachos Grande, which I forgot to ask for meat in it and the Tuscan Onion soup special, both of which were pretty good but typical.

My friend's Ultimate Pig Burger was so-so to him, while my Turkey Tetrazzini, while being interesting and tasty enough to finish, it was not amazing either.
The movie turned out to be just ok, but it was good timing as it was time to board the boat when we came back to Salem. It was a beautiful day with perfect weather to sail out in Salem Sound, especially with the sun setting at this time. Pictures I took while out at sea today follow.

After a relaxing evening out on the water, it was finally time for dinner at the former Salem Jail, currently the
Great Escape Restaurant. The inside of the restaurant is designed to look like the insides of a jail, but the decor is pretty posh.

For dinner, I decided to get the Stuffed Pork Chops, while my friend got the Mafia Steak, which was smothered in a cranberry port wine sauce with asparagus and roasted potatoes.
Both dishes were excellent, and was the perfect ending to a day in Salem.
